Research In Motion (RIM) has begun teasing their BlackBerry 10-powered smartphone, which has been dubbed as a “laptop killer” on its official website ahead of the January 30 launch in an attempt to keep audiences interested. Previous leaks on the “Blackberry London” smartphone suggested that RIM would make it look like a mini PlayBook but the teaser image tells a different story. Spotted by N4BB, the device has a mesh like texture on the back panel, which looks quite similar to the Nexus 7 tablet from Asus. RIM will showcase the new operating system and the first smartphone running on BB10 on January 30 in New York. However, the smartphone won’t be available immediately on store shelves and will be rolled out in a phased manner globally. Also Read - WhatsApp stops working on these smartphones
RIM is preparing two smartphones that will run on BB10. The first smartphone, which seems to have been featured in the teaser image, would be an all-touch device on the lines of the iPhone. The second smartphone, which will be launched sometime after the first device, will feature a physical QWERTY keypad along with a touchscreen.
