Though six years have passed since the launch of the original Angry Birds, the game is still fondly remembered for having been the first big mobile game hit. Rovio is similarly bullish about Angry Birds 2, and says that it will be “the mother of all sequels.” It hasn’t however revealed many details except the artwork, and a teaser trailer.
Since the original Angry Birds, Rovio has launched quite a few follow-ups including the Angry Bird Seasons, Angry Bird Rio and Angry Bird Star Wars, Angry Birds Transformers, Angry Birds Go, Angry Birds Epic, and more recently a separate series called Angry Birds Stella. The series has seen more than 3 billion downloads.
While you wait for the launch, here’s a look at the Angry Birds 2 teaser trailer.
