There is no word on when Micromax will launch the phone but it claims it will provide 1.5 hours of talktime when kept in sunlight for three hours. It is not the first time anyone is trying solar power for charging cellphones. Samsung and others have done it in the past but the current solar cells are not efficient enough to make conventional charging solutions obsolete.
