Based on the tweet, the update is said to focus towards making the iPad an even more versatile device, with a redesigned home screen and that takes advantage of its big screen. Alongside that, there also seems to be a sizable update coming to the Files app and a MacOS like tabs feature within apps. Although the focus seems to be more with iPads, ‘Gurman’ also mentioned about iOS on iPhones getting a new design and a new Notes app as well.

However, all of this only begs to confirms that the iOS 12 is more likely going to be a refined version of iOS 11. You can expect it to carry a few bug fixes and some small-time performance improvements alongside a few new features. From what we know, a big part of the update is focused around getting Animojis across devices and applications.
