Samsung 2018 QLED TV Features

Samsung pioneered the OLED technology and now it is aggressively selling the QLED technology. With QLED technology, Samsung’s televisions adopt quantum-dot displays and in comparison to OLED, the QLED has the ability to 100 percent of the color volume. It supports HDR brightness upto 2000 and supports wider viewing angle.

One of the key benefit of QLED over OLED is the lifespan. Samsung says all of its QLED TVs come with 10-year panel warranty, which means the South Korean company is saying there will be no pixel burn in or edge distortion for at least 10 years.

Samsung is known for innovation and this year’s QLED TV range is no different. With 2018 QLED TVs, Samsung is introducing Ambient Mode, which converts the TV into a canvas that mirrors the pattern on the wall behind the TV. The idea is make the TV blend completely with your home decor and not let it represent a black border.

The TV can also automatically show you weather updates to reflect whether it is sunny or rainy or snowy in your area. Samsung’s 2018 QLED TV users can also further customize the experience with their own photo collection. In order to setup the wall as your Ambient Mode, users need to capture the picture of their wall with the TV via Smart Things app on their Galaxy smartphone and then the application automatically converts into a wallpaper for the TV. The Ambient Mode is a cool feature but it won’t really make a huge difference if you plan to mount the TV in front of a plain wall.

Another change this year is what Samsung calls as one invisible connection. The TV comes with one single cable that transmits both data and power. This is a major innovation since it will declutter cables in your home and ensure that cables don’t come in the way of your TV viewing experience. The QLED TVs also support S Voice, which is a voice assistant that will not only help control TV but will also answer queries like digital assistants on smartphones.

The entire package is crafted using metal and the QLED TVs feature nearly bezel-less design. They come built with host of smart TV features and Samsung is offering free Galaxy S9 with the purchase of these QLED TVs. If money is not a constraint and all you seek is a rich TV experience then these new QLED TVs should be on top of your buying list.
