Samsung 4x fun unpacked event to be held in Malaysia on October 11; to launch a quad-camera galaxy device

Samsung is planning to launch its first galaxy device with a quad camera setup at an Unpacked event on October 11. As previously reported, the launch event is named as ‘4x fun’ hinting at the four cameras on the device. The report also pointed out that Samsung has already sent invites to the press for the launch event. However, there was no information about the location of the event. Days after the initial report about the launch event invites, new information has surfaced on the internet informing that the event is scheduled to take place in Malaysia.

According to a report by, Samsung sent out an invite to the publication with the location details for the October 11 event. The report stated that the invited confirmed that this will be the first Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in Malaysia. Traditionally, the events have taken place in Europe and North America at Barcelona, London, Berlin, and New York. Samsung has not revealed any information about what it is planning to launch at the event. According to a report by GSMArena, it is likely that the company may launch its Galaxy J6+ and J4+ in the country.

But it is also possible that the company may launch its much anticipated foldable smartphone at the launch event. The company has already hinted that it plans to launch the device before the end of this year.

This is not going to be the only device that will launch in the market around October as rival smartphone makers are planning to launch Google Pixel 3 lineup, LG V40, OnePlus 6T, and RazerPhone 2.
