Samsung introduced the Always-On Display feature with its Galaxy S7. Although Samsung has improved it with other flagship smartphones, the updates haven t been all that radical. Samsung is releasing a new app called ClockFace , which as per SamMobile s report comes with 29 new faces that can be applied to the Always-On Display. The feature is compatible with Galaxy S7, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S9, and Galaxy Note 8 devices. However, to get the new faces, the smartphone needs to be running Android 8.1 Oreo, with the Samsung Experience 9.0 UI layered on top it. There is one catch though. Samsung is yet to release the app on its official Galaxy app store. So, at the moment, users will have to download an APK for ClockFace from a trusted third-party source. That said, it shouldn t take Samsung too long to release the official app.
After installing the app, you can access the new clock faces by going into the device Settings, and into the Lock Screen and Security tab. Here click on Clock and FaceWidgets and then select Clock Style. All the new options can be accessed by scrolling down to the end of the list.

There is a variety of styles to choose from here. You can choose something like an analog clock, or a clock face that resembles a car speedometer. There is also an all text only option available. Samsung has designed clock faces diverse enough to match almost everybody s style.
