In addition to the above, Samsung also announced a new software called SideSync in its bid to bridge the gap between its Windows PCs and its range of Android smartphones. The software which is likely to be available later this year, allows a user to connect an ATIV device with the software installed to connect to an Android phone using a USB cable. Once connected, a user will be able to respond to a SMS from their PC keyboard, beam maps and other content from their phone to their PC screen, and drag and drop files.
Samsung also announced two new ATIV Books— the ATIV Book 5 and the ATIV Book 6. The ATIV Book 5 is an Ultrabook featuring a 14-inch screen, an Intel Core i5 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 500GB of storage and Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics. The performance-oriented ATIV Book 6, on the other hand, features a 15.6-inch screen, an Intel Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive and a Radeon HD 8770M GPU. Both the Ultrabooks have been launched in the US and for now there is no word on when Samsung will bring them to India.
