Samsung’s ChatOn messenger service will shut down next year. After denying reports of abandoning the messenger service, Samsung has finally confirmed to Yonhap, that it will shut down the service next year on February 1. While Samsung had denied the rumors, this move is in line with reports from last month that revealed the company’s plans. ChatOn was launched in 2011 and is currently available in 200 countries. Samsung has further said that all ChatOn users will get the opportunity to store their chat records, photos and videos shared before its shuts down.
