Samsung seems to have hit the right note with its new flagship Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. Both the smartphones will go on sale in several markets tomorrow, including India. While, the South Korean giant expects strong sales, it has also expressed concerns about meeting the demand for the Galaxy S6 Edge, Reuters reports.JK Shin head of Samsung’s mobile business told the publication that customers can expect a supply constraints in the near future for the S6 Edge model, although the company is trying to pull its socks up to improve production rate. These concerns are in line with a report from earlier this month, which claimed that Samsung’s suppliers are facing a problem manufacturing the curved glass as the Yield strength (the point at which the screen starts to deform) has dropped by 50 percent. The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge are expected to help Samsung revive its revenue and increase the operating cost for Q1. The company expects the latter to overshadow the former, despite Rs 9,000 price difference between the models. Samsung also expects the Galaxy S6 to beat the Galaxy S4 record shipment of 43 million. The smartphones will be available in three variants – 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. The launch prices of Galaxy S6 variants are at Rs 49,900 for 32GB, Rs 55,900 for 64GB and Rs 61,900 for 128GB. The 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants of Galaxy S6 Edge have been priced at Rs 58,900, Rs 64,900 and Rs 70,900 respectively.
