According to Korean IT Times, Samsung is planning on launching the Galaxy A series consisting of the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A7 as early as next month. It is planning on a launch in China, and the devices should go on sale next month itself. Per Business Korea, Samsung is targeting these smartphones squarely at Xiaomi, which was today crowned as the third largest smartphone maker in the world. While the company is only present in a few Asian countries including China and India, it has made large strides in the mobile space and in terms of shipments only lags behind Samsung and Apple. From what we know so far, the Galaxy A7 is set to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display, octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 12-megapixel camera, and a 4.7-megapixel front camera. On the software front, it will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.
As for the Galaxy A5, it is said to flaunt a 5.2-inch HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 16GB internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and a 2,300mAh battery.
