According to StechGuide, the Android Nougat 7.0 update for Galaxy A3 (2016) is available in Germany. There is no official word from Samsung about the update. So, Galaxy A3(2016) users in other global markets would have to wait until they are notified about the update on their smartphone. Since the update is over 1GB in size, it is recommended that you connect the device to a Wi-Fi network. Also, users need to ensure the smartphone is sufficiently charged over 50 percent for the update to complete successfully. The Android Nougat update brings new features such as split-screen, improved Google Keyboard, Google Assistant, customizable quick settings, enhanced notification along with Doze on the Go feature that puts your phone on power saver mode when in the pocket. The update will also enable the Double Tap function on the recent button to switch between recent apps quickly.
