Over the weekend, Mumbai-based mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom revealed that Samsung’s Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 would soon be launching in India. The company has sent us an invite for a launch event in Mumbai tomorrow, where it is likely to launch the two smartphones. The invite has a tagline, “an exclusive preview of the latest innovations that bring a confluence of Style and Technology.” This tagline could be a hint at the metal bodies of both the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5, which the company unveiled last year in October. As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy A3 sports a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED qHD (540×960 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 1,900mAh battery. The Galaxy A5, on the other hand, features a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear shooter, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal memory, microSD card, and a 2,300mAh battery.
Both the smartphones come with LTE capabilities, support NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and on the software front, they run on Android 4.4 KitKat.
