The retailer has however not revealed the smartphones’ price tag. The Galaxy A5’s price tag of CNY 2599 (Rs 26,000 approximately) was recently revealed on Samsung’s China website. The Galaxy A3, on the other hand, will be priced lower than that. As mentioned above, the talking point on both the devices is the metal body, which the company first introduced on the Galaxy Alpha. As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy A3 sports a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED qHD (540×960 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording capability, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 1,900mAh battery. The Galaxy A5, on the other hand, features a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear shooter, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal memory, microSD card, and a 2,300mAh battery.
Both the smartphones come with LTE capabilities, support NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and on the software front, they run on Android 4.4 KitKat.
