Samsung is rolling out new software updates to its Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A8 (2018). This new software update brings the November Android security patch to these devices. It further brings the software version number to A520FXXU7CRJG for the Galaxy A5, and A530FXXS3BRK6 for the Galaxy A8. Samsung has rolled out the patch for both these devices in two different countries. Inspecting the update, it looks like it is not bringing any more additions to the device apart from the security patch. According to SamMobile, the November security patch fixes 11 critical Android security vulnerabilities and 8 vulnerabilities and exposures that are exclusive to Samsung software. The report noted that the security patch for both the devices is gradually rolling out and users can head to the Software update option in the Settings app to check for the same. If the update is currently not available then don t worry as it will reach your device in the coming days.
Recapping the specifications of both the devices, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) comes with 5.6-inch display, Exynos 7885 SoC, up to 4GB RAM and up to 64GB internal storage.

The Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with a 5.2-inch display, Exynos 7880 SoC, up to 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. This new update comes right after details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M2 were leaked out in a Geekbench listing.
The company recently launched its latest smartphone in the market, the Samsung Galaxy A9 that comes with a quad camera setup on the back of the device.
