Samsung launched the Galaxy A-series smartphones with metal body in 2015. A year later, the company launched the refresh variants with glass back design, rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. Now, it seems like Samsung has already started working on the 2017 smartphones. The Galaxy A5 (2017) was recently spotted on benchmarking website, and now the Galaxy A7 (2017) has also surfaced on GFX Bench. Spotted by PriceRaja, GFX Bench listing for the unannounced Galaxy A7 (2017) points to a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. Under the hood, a 1.8GHz octa-core processor (Cortex A53 cores) paired with Mali-T830GPU and 3GB of RAM are expected. With 32GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot is also likely to be in tow. On the software front, the smartphone was spotted running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, with a layer of TouchWiz UI running on top. One of the key highlights, as per the listing, are the 16-megapixel front and rear cameras. If the smartphone does sport a 16-megapixel selfie shooter, it could be a massive upgrade compared to 5-megapixel one on the existing Galaxy A7 (2016) model. However, Samsung is not the only one, the Oppo F1s, Sony Xperia XA Ultra, Vivo X7 and X7 Plus are other smartphones that also come equipped with 16-megapixel front facing cameras. In comparison, the Galaxy A7 (2016) features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED full HD (1080p) display, a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. A microSD card for further expansion is also present. In the photography department, it sports a 13-megapixel rear snapper of aperture f/1.9 with OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera of aperture f/1.9. Armed with a 3,300mAh battery fast charging support, connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and dual-SIM 4G LTE. On the software front, the Galaxy A7 (2016) runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI running on top.
