Samsung s upcoming Galaxy A-series smartphone, the Galaxy A7 (2017), has been subjected to numerous leaks and rumors in the past few weeks. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will be the third variant of the Galaxy A7, and it is expected to be launched sometime in early 2017. The Galaxy A7 (2017) has already cleared the FCC, has received Bluetooth certification and it has now received Wi-Fi certification which confirms its nearing launch even more. Up until now, the Galaxy A7 (2017) has been leaked on various occasions, which include an alleged media invite plus live images of the demo of the smartphone. The live images were allegedly from a media meet, which showed the demo units of the Galaxy A7 (2017), along with the Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A3 (2017). The smartphone was also spotted on what is said to be presentation slides during a launch event. One of the slides said that the Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphone will come with High Strength Metal and scratch resistant glass combination. The display will come with 2.5D Glass and the side strip of the smartphone will be that of metal. The back panel of the smartphone will feature 3D curved glass.
The images also revealed that the Galaxy A7 (2017) will come with IP68 rating which makes it water and dust resistant. This gives the smartphone protection from dust and immersion in up to 1.5m of water for duration of 30 minutes. If this turns out to be true, then the Galaxy A7 (2017) will be the first Galaxy A series smartphone to come with IP68 rating. The images further showed that the USB module, audio jack and SIM tray will come with rubber sealing. Accumulating all the rumors and leaks so far, we can expect the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) to feature either a 5.5-inch or a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Under its hood, Samsung s own Exynos 7880 chipset paired with Mali-T830 GPU is expected to run. The smartphone could come with 3GB of RAM and it could have a storage option of 32GB or 64GB along with the option of expanding storage via a microSD card.
In the photography department, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is expected to sport a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, auto-focus, face detection and touch focus. Up front too, a 16-megapixel selfie camera is expected. For power, the smartphone is expected to use a 3,500mAh battery. The connectivity options on the Galaxy A7 (2017) could include 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone will most likely feature a fingerprint scanner as seen in the Galaxy A7 (2016).
