After the two smartphones were leaked just a couple of days ago, some more details of the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) have now been revealed in a fresh leak. This time around, the smartphones have been spotted in a user manual. At the time of writing, this user manual was still visible on Samsung s official website. Primarily, the user manual highlights the design of the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018). From what it looks like, both the new Galaxy A8 models will have identical builds and a bezel-less, Infinity Display, similar to the one available on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagships. Further, the device layout on the manual also reveals the presence of a dual-camera setup on the front on the device, while the back has a Galaxy S7-like single setup, with the fingerprint sensor placed just below it. The primary camera sensor can also be seen accompanied with an LED flash and NFC support.
Further, the manual showcases the presence of USB Type-C against Micro-USB that is so far available on all Galaxy A series smartphones. The smartphones also appear to come with two SIM card slots – one supporting a Nano SIM and a microSD card. Also, the manual suggests the smartphones will support connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and NFC.
The manual also confirms that both the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) will support water- and dust-resistance”.
Now, the manual does not reveal the specifications of the two smartphones, but from what we know from the previous leaks, the smartphones are likely to feature 5.8-inch and 6.01-inch screens, respectively. Under the hood, both of them are expected to be powered by Samsung s own Exynos 7885 chipset, paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Both the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ will be equipped with Samsung s new Bixby digital assistant.
The Galaxy A8+ is also expected to sport 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual cameras up front. The smartphone might with a 3,500mAh battery and fast charging. Apart from, both the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ are likely to feature IP68 rating for water and dust resistant.
