Leakster @Onleaks has shared a set of press renders for the Galaxy A8, which is in line with all previous leaks. The forthcoming smartphone is set to be thinnest in Samsung’s lineup, and will flaunt a near bezel-less display. A Vietnamese retailer and a leaked promotional poster in Malaysia have revealed the pricing of the Galaxy A8. If true, the smartphone could be priced between $497 and $503, which roughly translates to around Rs 31,530 and Rs 31,900. It will be interesting to see if Samsung sticks to this price range, considering it is on the higher side when compared to the current competition. As for specifications, they too are in line with earlier leaks. It is expected to flaunt a 5.7-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display, and will feature 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.
It is expected to be available in two variants — one with a single SIM powered by an Exynos 5430 octa-core processor, and a dual-SIM variant powered by a Snapdragon 615 chipset. Also likely to be featured are 16-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,050mAh battery and connectivity options like 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, it will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
