Samsung Galaxy A8 leaks seem to be coming in thick and fast, and a hands-on video leaked last week, gave us the best look at the smartphone so far. Now a leaked brochure has all but confirmed the specifications and features that Samsung’s forthcoming smartphone will boast. According to the brochure, the Galaxy A8 will flaunt a 5.7-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. There are likely to be two variants — single SIM variant powered by an Exynos 5430 octa-core processor, and a dual-SIM variant powered by a Snapdragon 615 chipset. The smartphone is also said to feature 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 3,500mAh battery and connectivity options like 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, it will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Also Read - Galaxy A22 replaces M42 5G to become the cheapest 5G Samsung phone in India
On the photography front, the smartphone is said to feature a 16-megapixel snapper at the back with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, and real-time HDR. Up front, there will be a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The smartphone seen in the brochure is in line with earlier leaks. The design is a far cry from the other A-series smartphones and actually looks quite similar to the flagship Galaxy S6 with its rounded corner and metal frame. It also reiterates the fact that the Galaxy A8 will be the slimmest smartphone in the company’s lineup with a thickness of only 5.9mm.
Despite the numerous leaks, there is still no word from Samsung as to when it plans on launching the smartphone. But considering the regularity of the leaks, it shouldn’t be that far off.
