A new Samsung smartphone has been listed on Amazon India as ‘coming soon’. Samsung launched the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ last month. Now, the bigger variant, the Galaxy A8+ (2018) is all set to launch in India. While the price and the date of availability of the Galaxy A8+ (2018) is currently unknown, we know that the smartphone will be sold exclusively via Amazon India.
The smartphone has ditched the physical home button and the fingerprint sensor has been re-positioned at the rear below the camera module. According to a report by IANS, Samsung might launch the Galaxy A8+ (2018) on January 10. However, there is no official word from the company as yet.

The Galaxy A8+ (2018) sport the Infinity Display design similar to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones. The Galaxy A8+ (2018) features a larger 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be available in two storage variants – 32GB storage with 4GB RAM, and a 64GB variant with 6GB RAM.
Samsung has added dual-front camera setup to the new Galaxy A8 (2018) series. The Galaxy A8+ (2018) features a combination of 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel front camera setup with f/1.9 aperture and support for Live Focus, that allows users to capture pictures in bokeh mode and add blur even after the picture is shot. At the rear, there is a new 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture. Unfortunately, the rear camera comes sans optical image stabilization, but there is digital image stabilization for shooting steady videos on the go.
The smartphone is armed with a 3,500mAh battery pack and uses USB Type-C port for charging with support to fast charging. The smartphone also comes with IP68 water and dust resistant and support Samsung Pay for contactless mobile payment. The smartphone will also support Samsung Gear VR headset. Galaxy A8+ (2018) recently went on sale in Vietnam at VND 13,490,000 (Rs 38,000 approximately).
