It s worth mentioning that there hasn t been any change in the smartphone s price, which is the same as its cost on Amazon India Rs 34,990. That said, it s unclear if any purchase benefits (e.g. EMI options) will be available to those who choose to buy the smartphone from brick-and-mortar stores.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The dual-SIM smartphone has a hybrid slot that can accept microSD cards of up to 512GB. It runs Android Oreo out-of-the-box, with Samsung s Experience UX overlay baked on top. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star isn t exactly a compact smartphone. It features a 6.3-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a resolution 1080 2220 pixels and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

For imaging, the Galaxy A8 Star features a dual-camera system at the back. It s comprised of a 24-megapixel sensor and a 16-megapixel sensor, each with an f/1.7 aperture. Up front, you get a 24-megapixel (f/2.0) for selfies and video calls.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has all the connectivity options you d expect in a 2018 smartphone, ranging from Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac to USB Type-C. There s also a 3.5mm audio port and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. A 3,700mAh battery backs up the entire package.
