Samsung has launched two new smartphones in China at a recent event which includes the Galaxy A6s and the Galaxy A9s which are the Chinese versions of the Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A9. However there was a surprise announcement made by the South Korean smartphone company. Samsung announced that it will soon be launching a third device which would be the Samsung Galaxy A8s.
Though Samsung did not provide any details about the device that they plan to launch soon, but they did share a very intriguing teaser image of the device which showed that the device will come with an all screen design. One of the other things shared by the company was that this upcoming Galaxy A8s device will come with a “first-time adoption” technology which again they did not expand on.
But there is word from a tipster by the name of Ice Universe who claims that this “first-time adoption” technology could point to the new display that Samsung will be incorporating in this new device. And that the new device will come with almost a bezel-less display but have a hole either on the top corners or near the top middle of the phone to provide space for the front camera.
The display will apparently adopt a new aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and would have a negligible bezel both on top and bottom of the device which would make space for the in-ear speaker and the other necessary sensors.
Other sources claim that the Galaxy A8s is probably the recently rumored device that will come with a Snapdragon 710 SoC. It would also have a triple rear camera setup along with a relatively small 3,000mAh battery.
