Samsung launched the Galaxy A9 (2018) earlier this month at an event in Malaysia. The smartphone, featuring a quad-camera setup, is set to launch in China tomorrow, and now a report has hinted at a potential India launch date.

As per 91Mobiles, Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy A9 (2018) in India on November 4. It is worth mentioning that this is not an official date announced by Samsung, but something that is revealed by the publication’s sources. So we would advise you to take it with the proverbial pinch of salt.

The Galaxy A9 (2018) has hogged the limelight for being the first device from Samsung to boast a quad-camera setup at the back. This setup includes a 24-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 10-megapixel telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor of f/2.2 aperture.

Besides the quad-camera setup, the smartphone also comes with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 2220×1080 pixels resolution, and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM. There is 128GB storage on board, which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.

For security, there is a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, as well as support for Face Unlock. Making sure everything ticks is a 3,800mAh battery. Connectivity options include USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack.

On the software front, the device runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with Samsung Experience UI on top. There is also built-in support for Samsung Pay.
