The smartphone has been in the news as it will be the first device from Samsung to boast a quad-camera setup at the back. Samsung is hosting the launch event in Malaysia today, and will be livestreaming it for the rest of the world. The highlight of the upcoming Galaxy A9 (2018) will no doubt be its quad-camera setup at the back. Leaks have suggested that the four camera lenses will be placed in a vertical arrangement with a LED flash below them. Serial leakster Evan Blass has shared the configurations of these four cameras.

The smartphone is expected to feature an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, a 24-megapixel main camera, and a 5-megapixel depth camera for those portrait photos. The cameras are also said to boast 19 different image enhancements modes.

Besides the cameras, the Samsung smartphone is expected to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with HD+ resolution. Under the hood is expected to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage. Making sure everything ticks will be a 3,800mAh battery.
