Samsung Galaxy A9 India launch highlights: Specifications, features, price in India, and offers

The world's first smartphone to have a rear camera system with four lenses, has finally made its way to India.

Widening its already-expansive smartphone portfolio in India even further, Samsung has brought the Galaxy A9 (2018) to the country. At an event in Gurugram today, the chaebol launched its first smartphone with four camera lenses at the back. After the Galaxy A7 (which launched last month), the Galaxy A9 (2018) is Samsung’s second camera-centric smartphone to make its way to India. As far as hardware specifications are concerned, we already know everything about Samsung Galaxy A9. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a 6.3-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080×2220 pixels, as well as an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. From USB Type-C to 3.5mm audio port, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has all modern connectivity options. The whole package is backed by a respectable 3800mAh battery. The highlight of Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is, of course, the four-lens camera system at its back. The setup is compriseda 24-megapixel unit with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide unit with f/2.4 aperture, a 10-megapixel telephoto unit with f/2.4 aperture, and 5-megapixel (f/2.2) unit for capturing depth information. Talking about the price, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is priced at Rs 36,990 and Rs 39,990, for the 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants, respectively. The smartphone is available for preorder starting today, and will be go on sale starting November 28 on Flipkart, Amazon India, Paytm Mall, as well as Samsung’s offline retail stores.
