When Samsung launched the Galaxy A9 (2018) last month at an event in Malaysia, it said the smartphone will also come to India in November. Last week, a report claimed that Samsung has planned to launch the Galaxy A9 in India on November 4, and just ahead of the anticipated launch, its pricing has been spotted on company’s website.
During the launch in Malaysia, the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) was announced for EUR 599 (approximately Rs 51,300) for the European market, and now according to the hidden price in Samsung’s website source code, the India price for the device could be Rs 39,000 (reports 91Mobiles).
The Samsung Galaxy A9 boasts a quad-camera setup at the back, which is first of its kind for a smartphone. This setup by Samsung includes a 24-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 10-megapixel telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor of f/2.2 aperture.

Besides the quad-camera setup, the smartphone also comes with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 2220×1080 pixels resolution, and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM. There is 128GB storage on board, which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.

For security, there is a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, as well as support for Face Unlock. Making sure everything ticks is a 3,800mAh battery. Connectivity options include USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with Samsung Experience UI on top. There is also built-in support for Samsung Pay.
