After the price cut…
With price now under Rs 30,000, the Galaxy A9 Pro takes on the likes of the OnePlus 3T or Honor 8, which still seem better proposition on the basis of specifications. Well, the OnePlus 3T and Honor 8 both come with flagship-level chipsets. While the OnePlus 3T comes with a Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 821 quad-core SoC with clock speed of 2.4GHz, the Honor 8 runs Huawei’s custom Kirin 950 octa-core SoC.
But that said, Samsung has its own set of loyalists as the brand has been around for quite some time in the country with an extensive presence in both offline and online channels. Also, the Galaxy A9 Pro with a large 6-inch display is aimed at niche audience who have a preference for bigger screen sizes. In comparison, the OnePlus 3T and Honor 8 come with relatively smaller 5.5-inch full-HD and 5.2-inch full-HD displays respectively. You might also want to consider the Xiaomi Mi Max Prime, which also comes with a big 6.44-inch display, and same Snapdragon 652 chipset and large 4,850mAh battery. The Mi Max Prime is also available for much less at Rs 19,999.
