Much information has been leaked about Samsung s yet to be announced Galaxy F aka Galaxy S5 Prime, which is expected to be the company s premium variant of the flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone. Now, yet another alleged photo featuring the Galaxy F kept aside the Galaxy S5 has been posted by PhoneArena to highlight its ultra-thin bezel and premium looking chassis in comparison to the current flagship. As seen in the photo, the two phones look pretty similar from front, with a single-button front design, however vary in terms of their bezels and display resolution. The display on the Galaxy F looks sharp and it appears to feature comparatively trimmed bezels, which were lately also seen on the LG s G3 smartphone which boasts a QHD display.
Apart from that, the supposed Galaxy F in the photo also looks thinner than the Galaxy S5 and looks to have replaced the plastic body of the Galaxy S5 with a more premium metal finish.
In terms of specifications, rumors so far have suggested the Galaxy F will feature a 5.3-inch QHD (1,440×2,560 pixels) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip, 3GB of RAM, and a 16-megapixel shooter with Optical Image Stabilization.
It is still not certain if the Galaxy F will come with IP67 certification, and feature a fingerprint scanner as well as a heart rate monitor. As far as its launch is concerned, the Galaxy F has been expected to go official sometime in September, though nothing concrete can be said about it either.
