Earlier this week, Samsung sent out a teaser for the launch of a new Galaxy Grand smartphone in India, which is likely to be the rumored Galaxy Grand 3. Today, the company has sent out yet another teaser revealing that the forthcoming smartphone will be a Snapdeal exclusive. As we reported earlier in the week, the earlier teaser had a partial shot of the forthcoming smartphone, which is in line with numerous leaks. As the teaser suggests, the Galaxy Grand 3 is slimmer than its predecessor with dimensions of 146×74.8×7.95mm, and weighing in at 140 grams (as compared to 146.8×75.3×8.9mm, and 163 grams). As per numerous leaks, the Galaxy Grand 3 is likely to sport a 5.25-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display, and will be powered by a 1.2 GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. Also likely to be featured are 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal storage, and on the software front, it will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 features a 5.25-inch HD display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB expandable memory. Also included is 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.9-megapixel front facing camera, 2,600mAh battery, and on the software front it runs on Android Jelly Bean. It was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 22,999, but is now available for around Rs 16,000 on Indian e-commerce sites.
