With Galaxy Grand Prime, Samsung will be tapping the selfie obsessed consumers, as the leaked images and specs suggest that the Galaxy Grand Prime sports a 5-megapixel front facing camera, reports GSMArena. The Galaxy Grand Prime is slated to feature a 5-inch display with qHD screen resolution (960×540 pixels). Interestingly, the screen size is a bit smaller than its predecessor Galaxy Grand 2 which had 5.25-inch display. The handset will be powered by a Snapdragon 400 chip coupled with 1GB of RAM.The phone comes with an 8-megapixel shooter at the back. On the connectivity front, the Galaxy Grand Prime will be dual-SIM capable and support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G data connectivity. On the storage side, there is 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via microSD card should you need more storage.
Over the past few weeks, we have seen several companies launching selfie phones. At the IFA 2014 trade show in Berlin earlier this month, Microsoft launched Lumia 730 and 735 which come with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. HTC is also expected to announce its selfie focused smartphone, codenamed Eye.
As of now there is no information on how much the handset will cost, it is expected to go on sale in Vietnam next month.
