The Infinity Display design is Samsung‘s language of defining its modern smartphone design with thinner bezels and taller display. The design first debuted with the launch of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ last year. It was later extended to Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy A8 smartphones as well. The design was last seen on Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ launched in February and the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ smartphones.

Samsung vs Xiaomi

Samsung, the leader in India’s smartphone market has lost its numero uno position to Xiaomi. The Chinese smartphone maker took that position during the fourth quarter of 2017 and has held onto it during the first quarter of 2018 as well. These new products with modern design can be seen as Samsung’s answer to popularity of Xiaomi’s Redmi series.
