The ring will glow to notify users of a call, text or when the battery is running low. An added feature is Smart Glow s Selfie Assist , which will help users with selfies. Selfie Assist will glow when it detects the user s face is in focus and will automatically click the photo as well.
Most Android smartphones feature LED notifications, and they are usually available in blue, red and green colors. Some third-party apps let you even play around with the intensity of these LED notification lights, as well as, customize how fast or slow they blink.
Reports claim that this notifications feature will be introduced with the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016). While there is no word on a launch date, the smartphone was recently spotted on benchmarking websites. They revealed some of the specifications and features of the smartphone, which include a 5-inch HD (720p) display, Spreadtrum SC8830 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, and a microSD card.
It is also expected to feature an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots and 4G LTE connectivity. On the software front, it will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 wrapped under TouchWiz UI.
