First reported by Galaxy Club, this feature is believed to being introduced with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) smartphone. The ring will glow to notify users of a call, text or when the battery is running low. An added feature is Smart Glow s Selfie Assist , which will help users with selfies. Selfie Assist will glow when it detects the user s face is in focus and will automatically click the photo as well.

Most Android smartphones feature LED notifications, and they are usually available in blue, red and green colors. Some third-party apps let you even play around with the intensity of these LED notification lights, as well as, customize how fast or slow they blink.
