In a leaked listing on a Russian retailer’s website, the alleged pricing of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) has been accidently revealed.
According to the listing, the smartphone will be priced at RUB 7,990 (Rs 8,900 approximately). This price listing in inline with a recent report that revealed that the device will be sold at €115 in the Europe, which also translates to approximately Rs 8,800. However, despite the two leaks being in line, there still isn’t any official word on it. It’s only wise then to take this information in with a pinch of salt.
Besides today’s leak, last week too, German site winfuture.de posted some images and revealed specifications of the purported Galaxy J2 (2018). From what that leak revealed, the Galaxy J2 (2018) will bear the model number SM-J250. It will feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels, and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Capacitive buttons will sit on the front of the device.
Under the hood, the smartphone is believed to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.4GHz and paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Fueling the smartphone will be a 2,600mAh battery. The Galaxy J2 (2018) is further rumored to sport an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with flash on both sides. For connectivity it is likely to come with features like dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Bluetooth 4.2 and 802.11n WLAN. On the software front, the phone would probably run the old Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
