Samsung, for some time now, has been touted to launch its first Android Go smartphone, which is said to be dubbed as the Galaxy J2 Core. The device has been subject to a few rumors, but not a lot has been officially revealed yet. But now an alleged image of its Russian manual has been leaked online, giving us some insight on its design.
The image of the manual spotted by Slashleaks, refers to the smartphone as SM-J260, which is what previous rumors have also suggested. The document carries two sets of schematics, one of which showcases the front and back panel of the smartphone and one that sheds light on the internals.
From the images, it looks like the device will carry a simple design. It is most likely going to feature a small screen, which has the earpiece and front camera placed right on top of it. The selfie camera also seems to be equipped with an LED flash. At the bottom, there are no physical buttons, which means that Samsung will be opting for on-screen navigational keys with the Galaxy J2 Core.
At the back, only the vertical camera housing can be seen, which takes its position at the top-center. The smartphone only comes with a single rear camera that features an LED flash above it. The standby/power button can be seen on the right side of the device, while the volume keys take their place on the left side.
The second set of schematics reveals that the smartphone will have a removal back and battery as well. It will also be sporting dual SIM cards, one of which could be a hybrid slot. The battery will be charged through a micro-USB port that is placed at the bottom.

Talking about the device’s specifications, the Galaxy J2 Core has been touted to come powered by the Exynos 7570 SoC running alongside 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It’s said to feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen with an 8-megapixel camera placed at the back and a 5-megapixel camera placed upfront. It’s said to be powered by a 2,600mAh battery and will be running on Android Oreo (Go Edition). However, the OS is suspected to come layered with Samsung Experience UI. The smartphone is expected to launch in India soon.
