The Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge has almost same set of specifications as of the yet-to-be-official Galaxy J3 (2017) though with subtle differences. If rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy J3 Emerge could be the 2017 edition of the Samsung Galaxy J3, which was expected to go on sale via Sprint, on January 6, which evidently did not happen. The Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge is further expected to feature a full-metal design. The recently leaked images also showed the power button on the right side and the volume rocker on the left side. Just like its predecessor, the upcoming smartphone might also come with features like the S-bike mode and ultra data saving mode as seen in the earlier Galaxy J series smartphones.

From what we know so far, the Galaxy J3 Emerge is expected to feature a 5-inch HD display. Under the hood the smartphone is said to be powered by Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 1.5GB of RAM. On the camera front, the smartphone is said to sport a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel selfie snapper. The Galaxy J3 Emerge will be armed with a 2,600mAh battery.
On the other hand the Galaxy J3 (2017) has been rumored to feature a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 1.5GB of RAM. On the camera front, the smartphone will sport an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera, and will be armed with a 2,600mAh battery.
In comparison, the Galaxy J3 (2016) features a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, and microSD card slot. The smartphone also comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 2,600mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM support, 4G LTE support with data saving mode, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.1.
