Besides launching the Galaxy J7 Prime, Samsung also launched the Galaxy J5 Prime today in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 14,790 and it will be available sometime towards the end of this month. Buyers will be able to choose from black and gold color variants. As the name suggests, this smartphone is basically a bumped up version of the Galaxy J5 (2016), which was launched in India for Rs 13,990. The new Galaxy J5 Prime retains the best bits of the Galaxy J5 (2016) like the metal frame design, front-facing cameras with LED flash, 4G LTE connectivity with support for VoLTE. In addition to slightly better set of specifications, the Galaxy J5 Prime also adds a fingerprint scanner. Samsung has also introduced two exclusive features — S Power planning and S Secure. The S Power planning feature that lets users reserve the phone’s battery for calls, extend battery life by choosing the Ultra Power Saving mode or forward calls to another number if the charge is too low. The Galaxy J5 Prime flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by an Exynos quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Both smartphones may come with bigger 5.5-inch displays and fingerprint scanners, but most of the specifications and features are better than what is offered by the Galaxy J5 Prime.

The ZUK Z1, on the other hand, comes with features like 1080p display, Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC, 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 4,100mAh battery.
