The 2017 iteration of the Galaxy J series was launched in Europe last month. The series included the Galaxy J3 (2017), Galaxy J5 (2017) and the Galaxy J7 (2017). Following this, Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Pro and the Galaxy J7 Max in India. Another variant of the Galaxy J5 (2017) has now launched in Thailand, and it s called the Galaxy J5 Pro. The smartphone is priced at 9,990 Thai Baht, which rounds off to Rs 19,100 approximately. Spotted by Mobile Xpose, the Galaxy J5 Pro is essentially an updated variant of the Galaxy J5 (2017), but comes with only two upgrades. The upgrades are in terms of memory as the Galaxy J5 Pro packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In comparison, the Galaxy J5 (2017) comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. This year s Galaxy J series went through a notable design change. The Galaxy J5 Pro flaunts a metal body sporting a Galaxy S7-like look. At the back, the Galaxy J5 Pro features a vertical camera module along with curved antenna bands running on the top and bottom part. The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display. Under its hood is an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. In the photography department, the Galaxy J5 Pro sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture. Up front too there s a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture for selfies and video calling. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung s custom UI on top. Samsung is said to launch the Galaxy J5 (2017) in South Korea today, where it will be available in color choices of black, blue and pink.
