Samsung Galaxy J series is one of the popular offerings from the company. With a right blend of features and affordable pricing, the J series has been one of the higher selling smartphones in markets including India. The company is now prepping the 2018 edition of the budget series. In the latest, the Galaxy J6 for this year has been subject to a line of leaks since the beginning of this year.
A listing on FCC now throws light on some of the features and specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J6. The smartphone is known to pack an 18.5:9 display, in line with the current industry trend. Now, based on the listing, the display could measure 5.6-inch, which indicates that the screen will not be too tall, but will be an Infinity Display, as seen on other top-end Samsung smartphones.
The listing also indicates that the smartphone will support dual-SIM. In the supported accessories list, there’s support for a standard 1 amp charger, a micro USB cable and a regular 3.5mm headset, GSMArena reports.
Samsung Galaxy J6 specifications
The Galaxy J6 had been previously spotted on Geekbench. Based on the listing, the Galaxy J6 is expected to be powered by Exynos 7870 SoC, which is an older processor. The octa-core SoC will be clocked at 1.6GHz, Cortex A-53 CPU and paired with 2GB of RAM.
It achieved a score of 3643 points in multi-core performance and 726 in the single-core test. Details on the camera specification are scarce at the moment. It is likely to run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Adding to the J series will be the Galaxy J7 (2018) and Galaxy J3 (2018). The series will also include the Galaxy J8 or J8 Plus. All of these have been spotted online in the past. It is unclear as to when the company will launch these models. However, based on the leaked specifications, all will be priced between the budget-mid range category.

The Galaxy J3 (2018) recently received Bluetooth certification. It is likely to run Android Oreo out-of-the-box. The only smartphone to have leaked in more details from the series is the Galaxy J8 (2018). It will be powered by an Exynos 7870 processor with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz along with LTE Cat.6 2CA Modem. It is further expected to pack 3GB of RAM, 16-megapixel front and rear cameras, or 8-megapixel each in dual camera mode. As for the display, it is likely to be a standard 5.5-inch display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. On the software front, the smartphone is said to run Android 8.0 Oreo.
