Samsung is hosting an event in Mumbai today where it is widely expected to launch two new smartphones – Galaxy J6 and Galaxy A6+. Courtesy of numerous leaks, we already have a fair idea on what to expect from these two devices. Ahead of the launch today, here’s a look at everything we know about the Samsung Galaxy J6, and the Galaxy A6+.
The highlight of the two upcoming smartphones will be the Infinity Display. Samsung had introduced its edge-to-edge display concept on its Galaxy S8-series. It has since been extended to the Galaxy A8 series, the Galaxy Note 8, and this year’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. The upcoming Samsung smartphones too are expected to flaunt the same edge-to-edge displays with 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
Samsung Galaxy J6, Galaxy A6+ rumored prices
Over the weekend, alleged prices of the two upcoming smartphones surfaced online. The leak showed alleged retail boxes of the Galaxy J6 and the Galaxy A6+. These boxes showed an Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of Rs 14,999 and Rs 28,000, respectively. While the official pricing is bound to be different, the MRP gives us an idea on the smartphones’ price range.

Based on what we have come across so far, the Samsung Galaxy J6 is expected to feature a 5.6-inch HD+ (1480×720 pixels) AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is likely to be an Exynos 7870 SoC paired with 3GB/4GB RAM options, and 32GB/64GB storage options.
The rest of the rumored specifications include a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, the device is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo, and is also likely to boast the Samsung Pay mini feature.

Samsung Galaxy A6+ specifications, features
The Samsung Galaxy A6+ has already launched in select markets, and is only now coming to India. It flaunts a 6-inch Full HD+ (2280×1080 pixels) display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 3GB/4GB RAM options, and 32GB/64GB storage options.
The smartphone also features a dual-camera setup (16-megapixel+5-megapixel) at the back, and is backed by a 3,500mAh battery. The smartphone also features Dolby ATMOS support, and Samsung’s Bixby Suite that includes Bixby Vision, Bixby Home, and Bixby Reminder.
