Samsung might be getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC variant of the Galaxy J6 in India. According to a report on XDA-developers blog, Samsung is found working on a Samsung Galaxy J6+ model with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor for India, or it may launch it as the Galaxy On6+.
It is the first time we are hearing about Samsung Galaxy J6+, and the report says that India launch of alleged Samsung Galaxy J6+ is also a speculation on their part. The existence of Samsung Galaxy J6+ model, code-named “j6plte,” was first discovered by a contributor who is said to be maintaining several builds for Samsung devices.
The code-name “j6plte” apparently corresponds to a model named “Samsung J6-Plus LTE CIS SER.” The CIS in the name refers to the Commonwealth of Independent States, and SER as Serbia, where this particular model seems to be headed.
As for the specifications, the alleged Samsung Galaxy J6+ will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, but there is no word on RAM and storage variants. It is said to feature 5.6-inch (1480×720 pixels) Super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, just like the Samsung Galaxy J6. Other rumored specifications include dual rear camera setup, single front-facing camera with LED flash, a microSD card slot, 4350mAh and Android 8.0 Oreo OS.
