Samsung launched the Galaxy J6 alongside Galaxy J8, Galaxy A6, and Galaxy A6+ smartphones in India in May. The company is rumored to bring the Prime variant of Galaxy J6 soon. The alleged smartphone listing was spotted on Samsung s Vietnamese site last week suggesting that the company is gearing up for the launch. The handset has now been certified by FCC in the US confirming that it is indeed arriving next. According to Sammobile, the new Galaxy J6 variant with model number SM-J610F has been certified by the FCC. The listing confirms that the smartphone will be marketed as Samsung Galaxy J6 Prime, but the listing doesn’t reveal any specification of the device. As for alleged specifications of Samsung Galaxy J6 Prime, it is believed that Samsung will go for large 18:9 HD+ Infinity Display, and could feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor along with dual rear cameras. The handset is reportedly being tested with Android 8.1 Oreo, so that could be the firmware out-of-the-box from Samsung.

The Galaxy J6 was launched in India for Rs 13,990 for 3GB RAM variant, and Rs 16,490 for the 4GB RAM variant. But it recently got a price cut, and the base model is now available for Rs 12,990, whereas the 4GB RAM variant will set you back by Rs 14,990.
