After the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ made their debut, Samsung may be gearing up for another release in the J-series. According to a fresh leak spotted on a benchmarking website, certain specifications of what is believed to be the Galaxy J6, has been revealed.
Per the listing, Geekbench, the handset’s model number is SM-J600F. The smartphone is said to run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The purported Galaxy J6 is showed being powered by Exynos 7870 SoC, which Samsung had launched two years ago. It has a 1.6GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and is built on the 14nm process. The Galaxy J6 will be equipped with 2GB of RAM.
The listing also reveals the smartphone will apparently have a maximum screen resolution of 1200×1920 pixels. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy J6 has a score of 3643 points in multi-core performance and 726 in the single-core. It is interesting to note how similar the smartphone is to the Galaxy J5 that was launched last year.
For perspective, Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) features a 5.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. Under its hood, it was powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. Like the purported Galaxy J6, the Galaxy J5 (2017) also sport 2GB of RAM, which was accompanied with 16GB of expandable storage. In the photography department, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera up front.
