Samsung has refreshed its Galaxy J-series by launching two new Android smartphones, the Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J5 (2016) in China. Both smartphones have been listed on Samsung s China website and they come equipped with slightly refreshed hardware compared to their predecessors. Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) specifications and features: It flaunts a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED full HD (1080p) display. At the heart of the Galaxy J7 (2016) runs an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion. Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) specifications and features: The smartphone flaunts a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED HD display running at a resolution of 720x1280pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM. With 16GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot for further expansion is also present.
In the camera department, you get a 13-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/1.9 and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera of aperture f/1.9 with LED flash. Armed with a 3,100mAh battery, connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
As of now, there is no word on the pricing and availability outside China. However, considering the popularity of Galaxy J-series in India, both smartphones are likely to make it to the Indian shores.
