The new price cut follows the discount of Rs 3,000 announced on the smartphone earlier. With this price cut, the Galaxy J7 Duo is available in the market for Rs 12,990, a discount of Rs 4,000 on the launch price. At the new retail price, the Galaxy J7 Duo will compete against the likes of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Oppo Realme 1 in the sub-Rs 15,000 price segment. The new discounted price is being offered across retail platforms including online retailers such as Amazon, Flipkart and Samsung’s own e-shop. The smartphone will be available at the discounted price through offline retailers as well. It is not immediately clear whether the price cut is temporary or permanent, but it does make Samsung’s offering a worthy consideration against offering from the Chinese brands. Samsung recently captured the leadership position in India’s smartphone market on the back of strong demand for its Galaxy J series smartphones.
