At the time when the latest Android 9 Pie OS update rollout is taking over, Samsung is still struggling to push Android Oreo for its smartphones. The company after a long delay is now reportedly pushing out the Android 8.1 Oreo for its Galaxy J7 Core, which is called the Galaxy J7 Nxt in some markets. The OTA update for Samsung’s Galaxy J7 Core/ Galaxy J7 Nxt carries the software version J701FXXU6BRH9, reports TheAndroidSoul. It is said to bring features such as picture-in-picture, notification dots, Autofill, revamped notifications center and settings app, notification snooze option and more for the Galaxy J7 devices. Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Nxt smartphone in India in July last year, and it even brought a refreshed version of the same phone in December. The device was launched with Android 7.0 Nougat in the market and it has now directly jumped to Android 8.1 Oreo.
The refreshed Galaxy J7 Nxt was launched at a price of Rs 12,990 and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, compared to the earlier variant that came with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage.

A couple of weeks back, Samsung had rolled out Android 8.1 Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) in some markets. The update carried August 2018 Android security patch and the rollout was first reported for Poland with version number J530FXXU2BRH5.
