Samsung has quietly launched a new smartphone in India, called the Galaxy J7 Nxt. The smartphone has been listed on Samsung India’s official website and is priced at Rs 11,490. This is the third Galaxy J7 smartphone launched in India this year, the first two being the Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro. The Galaxy J7 Nxt is currently available in India only and can be purchased from Samsung’s e-store.
Samsung is offering EMI options for credit card users starting at Rs 990 per month. Bajaj Finserv Card users can also avail EMI offers starting at Rs 1,915 per month. The smartphone will be available in black and gold colors.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt specifications
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood of the smartphone runs a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The processor isn’t specified in the website listing. It comes with 16GB of onboard storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
In the photography department, the Galaxy J7 Nxt sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. On the software front, the Galaxy J7 Nxt runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Its connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth v4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. The Galaxy J7 Nxt, however, lacks a fingerprint sensor, a feature common at its price range. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,000mAh battery. Taking its price and specifications into consideration, the Galaxy J7 Nxt will face competition from Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4, which is priced at Rs 10,999. The Redmi Note 4 has a 5.5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 625 SoC, and 3GB of RAM. It further comes with 32GB of expandable storage. For photography, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera. It is fuelled by a 4,100mAh battery and also comes with support for 4G VoLTE.
