Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Prime in Vietnam last week, and now it seems to be planning on bringing the smartphone to India. While there’s been no official announcement yet, Samsung could launch the smartphone in India soon, with a price tag of Rs 18,790. One of the talking points of the upcoming smartphone will be the NFC-based S-Bike feature, which was launched with the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) smartphone earlier this year. According to Mumbai-based mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime launching in India will be powered by an Exynos octa-core processor. The smartphone features a metal unibody and also has a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button up front. This will be a major differentiating factor, since the Galaxy J7 (2016) didn’t have the feature. While the retailer claims that the display on the upcoming smartphone will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the listing on Samsung’s Vietnam website mentions Gorilla Glass 4.
