Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, which was unveiled back in June, is finally available for purchase in India. Samsung had announced the smartphone along with the Samsung Galaxy J7 max. Recently, Samsung listed the device on its online store, and the smartphone has now appeared on other e-commerce platforms as well. Interestingly, while the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is listed on Samsung’s own web store with a price tag of Rs 20,900, the prices are different on the e-commerce websites. On Amazon India, the device is listed at Rs 22,300. At the time of filing this story however, there doesn’t seem to be any stock available on Samsung’s website. It is however available via offline retail channels, priced at Rs 20,900. Most of the customer reviews on Amazon India are regarding the high price of the device. The smartphone brings Samsung Pay to more budget devices. While Samsung does have the Pay Mini option for more budget variants, this is the first Samsung budget smartphone to get the complete Pay experience. Samsung Pay is a platform which lets users pay without having to swipe their cards directly over PoS machines. Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro specifications
In terms of features and specifications, Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is nearly the same as Samsung Galaxy J7, which is a Europe-only device announced earlier this year. The Galaxy J7 comes with 16GB internal storage whereas the Galaxy J7 Pro comes with the 64GB option (expandable up to 128GB via SD card). Other specifications include Android Nougat OS out-of-the-box, 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) AMOLED Always On display. The smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel camera with flash on both, the rear and the front. The camera is touted to be a ‘social camera’ where images can be shared directly over third-party apps from right within the camera itself. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, dual SIM support, Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE. The device comes with a 3,600mAh battery. The phone is available in black and gold color variants though most e-commerce portals have only the gold model listed for purchase.
