Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Note 4 phablet in India on October 14, Times of India reports. The South Korean giant has started sending media invites for the event, with the company promising that it will showcase the next Galaxy. By hosting the event next week, Samsung is not only ensuring that the phablet is available in time for Diwali, but also preempting Apple s launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in India on October 17. The Galaxy Note 4 was unveiled at a pre-IFA event in Berlin last month. It flaunts a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD (2560 1440 pixels) display and it is powered by a 1.9GHz Exynos octa-core (1.9GHz quad-core+1.3GHz quad-core) processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
The phablet also features 16-megapixel rear camera, 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB internal storage, microSD card support, and 3,220mAh battery. On the software front, the phablet runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
